During the conference I was staying at the Club Med resort in Bodrum. This was about 15-20 mins outside Bodrum and they do offer transfers into Bodrum as it is quite isolated from anywhere else and any restaurants and shops.

However for those liking an all inclusive holiday with everything on site this offers everything from watersports included in the price, it has its own private beach and there are things going on all day to take advantage of including fitness classes, sports and activities. Accommodation is spread out over several acres of grounds so there is a lot of walking unless you request to be close to the reception area but this is a great resort for the fit and active liking lots of active pursuits and with lots of lovely food.

The staff and entertainment team were very friendly and mostly French as Club Med is a French company but I would have no hesitation in recommending this resort.

Whilst there, we were attending the conference at the Mark Warner Resort which is half an hour walk down the road from this Resort. This was a huge complex but was a very nice resort and is a similar principle to Club Med but does not include as many activities in the price paid. This is detailed in their brochure.

This resort and is very hilly and there are several steps down to the beach from most of the resort and all accommodation is very spread out. However, as long as you are aware of this, it is also a very nice resort with lots of facilities and sports etc on offer. They also offer transfers to Bodrum for their customers.

The weather was in the mid 20s and very sunny. Visas are required to Turkey and must be obtained online in advance of travel and costs $20 per person valid multiple entry for 6 months.
